At the beginning of each school year all students are provided an application for participation in the free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch program.  Families choosing to complete an application must do so each school year.

Online application entry is available for the 2012-2013 school year!

Click the button above to Apply Online! This process makes it easy and convenient to apply for meal benefits for your child/children. Simply enter the requested information as accurately as possible, and all data will be instantly and securely sent to the Child Nutrition Department for processing.

Please complete only one application per family.  Applications are available at each school throughout the year.  Parents are encouraged to complete a free or reduced meal application if economic hardships exist.

Eligibility decisions are based on federally established income and household size guidelines. As completed applications are processed, households are notified of eligibility status determinations. Student eligibility status is completely confidential.

Transfer of Meal Applications  Aldine ISD will accept a copy of a transferred student's meal application from another school district. The application copy must be given to a school cafeteria manager or sent to the Child Nutrition Services office. Once the application is received, it will be reviewed for accuracy of calculations and correct eligibility. If an error is discovered, a new meal application must be completed and submitted. Any necessary changes to household benefits will be made due to findings noted on the application.

Student Meal Eligibility  A student's eligibility status is effective for one school year plus the first 30 operating days of the next school year.

Direct Certification  Direct Certification applies to students whose names are made available through the Texas Department of Agriculture and were enrolled in the school district the prior year. Students on the Direct Certification list are eligible for meals at  no cost and are not required to complete an application. This information is communicated in a letter to qualifying households.
